 Automoblox Cars are Great Aug 05, 2008
I've given Automobolox cars to nieces and nephews several times over the past few years. They are a huge hit. They are sturdy, attractive and the kids have a great time with them. They can mix and match the components and create their own play narratives which is so beneficial to them in this time of pre-packaged entertaiment and closed-ended style toys. I only wish Automoblox was around when my kids were younger. They would have played with them constantly.
Fun and educational for my 3 year old May 20, 2008
These cars are great, very sturdy and small enough to bring along. My 3 year old son loves taking them apart and putting them back together in new ways. It has helped him learn his colors and shapes, while allowing him to be creative. He pretends to have the people talk and go places in the cars, which I then use as an opportunity to introduce him to different kinds of destinations (such as a school, zoo, beach, stores, etc) using his other toys as props.
I can honestly say that for my little boy who already liked cars, these toys have captured his imagination more than any other toy.

These are a lot of fun for both my 2.5 year old and my 6 year old. They both enjoy taking them apart and putting them back together, including mixing and matching different parts. The wheels are little less durable than the other parts.
The big issue is the price on Amazon (via Fat Brain Toys). You can find these same cars at Target for about half the price.

This toy is absolutely fabulous! My 4-year old son saved up his money from his holiday and birthday cards for months until he came up with the money he needed to get this car. He loves taking it apart and putting it back together and playing with the "little guys." We have since purchased two more so he can mix and match them.
My wife and I can't keep our hands off them either. They are well made and FUN - FUN - FUN. My only worry is that the plastic roof may get stepped on and crack. They roll around the floor much better than other cars because of their balanced weight, but are quiet thanks to the soft rubber tires.

I found this toy on a top ten list this past Christmas. I was a little stumped on what to get my three year old so I ordered him the Sportvan. I was surprised, he LOVES it, as do my other two sons and my husband. I'm not sure what the fascination is but they play with them all the time and he just got two more for his birthday. He also got the Mini versions from his uncle and those have not been played with as much, I wouldn't recommend those. Great toy, but sheesh, they are so expensive!
