A Well Made Toy! (UPDATED) Dec 29, 2007
By Sapere Aude My children, ages 4.5 and 2.5 each got two of these for Christmas. They are a big hit. I'm very impressed with the construction, which is of a thick plastic, I can flip it over and stand on top myself and it only flexes slightly on our slippery kitchen floor. They are a good size - an adult of medium build could sit in one. My kids can get in and cross their legs inside too.
The shape is great - two of them fit together to form a kind of spherical shape. The two holes are inspired as they love putting them on their heads and looking through the holes. They have found a ton of uses so far! They spin the bilibo and put a marble in and watch it go around. They spin around in them themselves. They have used it as the center in their block building expeditions, as a seat and to port toys around the house.
I am very impressed with this toy - I love how it inspires creativity and active play. I would definitely recommend getting one or several!
Update - 4 years later - these have stood the test of time. They are not only still in perfect condition, the kids still enjoy playing with them now at ages 6 and 8.

I don't understand all the praise Nov 01, 2010
By J.M.
"Crafter"
After reading all the positive reviews I bought this for my daughters second birthday. I guess I just don't get it. It is like having a giant bowl cluttering up your house. It has been a few months and I can honestly say she has never played with it. I wish I didn't spend the money.

We LOVE the Bilibo! Dec 18, 2007
By K. Duzan
"Mom of 2"
I have two kids - 2 and 3. They both love playing with their Bilibos. They can spin in it, run cars through it, or even play with it in the bathtub. And, I'll admit, I had to sit in it and take a spin, too. It is unbreakable, cute, and encourages kids to play both physically and helps development. My 2 year old is autistic, and it helps get some of his energy out (stimming less).

the near perfect toy Dec 29, 2007
By Maeve M. Heald I bought this toy for my 2 year old daughter. the salesperson suggested it to me and I was a little hesitant. But from the moment this toy was opened on Xmas. The kids (I also have a 4 yr. old son) have been playing with it. Sitting in it, standing on it, spinning in it, balancing in it, using it as a cradle for dolls, pretending to be a turtle... I am amazed at it's imaginative versatility. Hard to believe, but this is a near perfect toy in my book.

it's fun but is not played with too often Sep 30, 2010
By E. Willis My kids have played with this since they received it a year ago. It's fun and can be used for many things, mainly as a hat, something to sit in and spin, and as a turtle shell. I really thought they would find more uses for it but have not yet. It is super durable and can withstand an adult standing on it without bending. The only big problem is how slippery it is on carpet, when the kids stand in it while the curved top is touching the carpet it slips right out from under them. The learned quickly not to do it but could have been hurt if they were near something they could have fallen onto.
