LOVE THIS CAR! Jun 24, 2008
By Brenda Dean

My 4 year old LOVES this car! So does my 7 year old, and 11 year old.....honestly, I do too.
DURABLE, interchangeable parts, also interchangeable with the other Automoblox cars!
People in the cars have specific shapes at their base (triangle, circle, etc) & fit into specific shape holes inside cars.
Have 4 year old that loves to disassemble and re-assemble everything (including toys that aren't made for it), this toy satisfies that desire.

Awesome! Apr 19, 2008
By CB Got a kid (son, daughter, niece, nephew, friend's child, neighbor, etc.) who loves cars? They will love this. Their parents will love this. You are going to love this. I bought this for my 3-year-old nephew as a birthday gift and it was far and away his favorite gift. This is just a really cool toy. It's made very well. It is durable. Kids can take it apart and put it together. They love that. I'm going to buy him more to add to his fleet.

Wow! I have fun with these too. Mar 14, 2009

I was in a "thrift" store today and saw two of these cars in the toy section for a very nice price. $1.00 for the purple van and $1.50 for the blue van! I bought them and came home and played with them for quite a while. (I'm 60 years old folks!) I got on Amazon and ordered 3 more! The pickup the orange car and the cool off road one! I'll let kids play with them if I get done with them myself.
They seem very rugged and can stand a lot of kid abuse. I'll keep them in my 1:18 scale showcase so when kids see the cars they won't want to play with my more costly models.
The parts interchange with other cars to make different color/shape ones. Kids can learn shape and color matching. What a great and fun toy for anyone. I may check out some of the mini's also.
The price is kind of high but these are not your run of the mill toy cars. They should be able to be passed down to the next generation or to your friends and co-workers. What a great "desk toy" for the office.
Enjoy!!!

Cool toy Jan 09, 2009

Automobloxs are the coolest way to play with stylish cars. They are strong, made out of wood, and the plastic pieces are pretty durable as well.
This one is my personal favorite with the cool green color (reminds me of a jungle adventure) and the spare tire on the rear. I just love the look of it!
I gotta say though, the adults sure like it better than the kids do. I rarely see the kids playing with it but I see the grown ups "oohing" and "ahhing" over it all the time. In fact, I wonder if the kids even know that it belongs to them.
The BIG con that I mention in all my reviews of this toy brand is the price. It's waay too much for a kid's toy, particularly for a smaller toy car (even the full-size version of it). I recommend it but the price...yikes!

Automoblox live up to the hype. Jan 08, 2009

I love this Automoblox SUV and the Orange Mini my son received for Xmas this year-he does too. They're well designed and very durable. My son is only 18 months old but letting him play with them isn't an issue since we didn't let him have the 4 small passengers that fit inside the vehicle. They are the choking hazards. Everything else is a large as a Megablok or Duplo block.
They're both challenging for him to put take apart and put back together but in a good way. I can see him thinking things through. He also loves just rolling them around. And they're just beautiful toys to have around.
To clear one thing up though, they're not made in Germany, they're made in China. They are designed by a very famous industrial designer and are strictly safety tested though. And since they're not covered in paint like most plastic-based toys, they shouldn't be a lead risk.
This is one of those "long haul" toys that won't go out of style and should be just as popular with the grandchildren some day.
