Review for Native Amercan Toy Set Oct 11, 2008
By Bonnie B. Cutler Although my granddaughter has repeatedly asked me for some Indians with a tepee, she really doesn't play with this item very much. It's cute except it's not realistic. The Plains Indians did not have Totem Poles.

Great quality wooden toy Feb 19, 2007
By JeanetteFR I love this Native American set. My daughter loves making the little people ride on the horse. It's great for imaginative play. The only challenge that I have had with this toy is making the teepee stay open - the wooden posts keep coming out of the fabric slots. I might need to get a bit creative to make this work - otherwise, it's such a cute toy.

Get your gluegun! Jan 08, 2008

Please buy this toy for your child. The wood is beautiful and the horse alone is worth it. Everything about this set is cute, cute, cute! My only concern is that the headresses for the two dolls are not attached and the teepee is not attached to the wood poles. The easy solution is to get your gluegun, fix it and forget it. My 2.5 year old son loves to play with this set and he uses the horse with some of his other toys too.

Great for boys or girls. Jan 09, 2007
By val This playset has been a really great gift for my 3yr old son who likes to play "dolls" and "house". He can engage in those activities with this toy without feeling like he has a "girl" toy. He absolutly loves to make the horse step on the cactus and throw its rider, fortunately he hasn't introduced any cowboys to them yet! The only problem is with the tee-pee,
it has a wooden tripod that slides into small pockets on the base of the canvas to make the whole thing stand. Getting them to stay in those pockets is very tricky, although the tee-pee canvas is really stiff enough to stand without attaching the poles.
Beautiful toy Jan 17, 2010
By L. Valen This was a Christmas gift for my 3 year old daughter who is in love with anything Native American. She loves to play with this toy and I find it very well made and really pretty. I hope this is one we can keep for her kids some day. I wish that I could have found a toy this beautiful that was made by or at least representative of a specific indigenous people, but I had no such luck. I try to talk to my daughter about the differences between native peoples from around the counrty so she begins to appreciate cultural diversity. All in all, this is a wonderful toy that she really enjoys playing with.
