Of course it is soft! It's silk. Yes it is thin and not so much for warmth. I was looking for a blankie for my son and this is perfect. Great size for baby and not too big to carry around if he gets attached to it as a toddler. The flannel side isn't as yellow as pictured(not the same yellow as the moon and stars which is a bit disappointing but overall happy with it.)
$60-70 is too expensive for what it is though.

This blanket is not as vibrantly colored as pictured. It is also falsely represented by saying it is 40"x40". The blanket is 40x30. It also says on the blanket that it is made in China, not the USA like it is said here. I am not happy with the product especially for this price (it is $5 cheaper with free shipping on sarahssilks.com). With all this said, it is an adorable blanket. I only wish it was as represented.

This blankie is so wonderful, soft, beautiful. It deserves 5 stars except for the ridiculous price tag. If it were made in America then I'd say the price tag is worth it but it is made in China. It is way overpriced considering they are likely getting a screaming deal on manufacturing. But still I bought it and love it. I also have the Sarah's Silk Fairy Blanket and love that as well.

Was looking forward to a well made baby blanket my son could use daily. When I received this I was thoroughly disappointed. Blanket was thin, material was cheap, and was not soft or silky. I sent it back immediately.
