Great little kid game Apr 11, 2008

We gave this game to our two four-year-old kids, one a boy, one a girl, over two months ago, and they both LOVE it as they have never loved a board game before. It is fun we can enjoy together as a family. The kids set the game up themselves, complete with toy plates from their own kitchen, and take pride in folding the included "tablecloth" back up at the end. We use the "Lose a Turn" space on the spinner as a "Do Over" to keep the game moving. Once everyone in the group has collected the card in a given category, we take time out to play with it for a second, pretending to eat the cake, or drink our tea, for example. Otherwise we play strictly according to the rules.

I love this birthday party game. After somebody wins it, we play a short birthday game. [Mom's note: My daughter loves to pretend-play a birthday party with the game accessories). There is all kinds of thngs you can do with it. There are drinks, cakes, presents, party favors, and hats. Noisemakers too. [Mom's note: These are very durable and colorful pictures on thick cardboard -- very cute!)
