A Safer Lunch Box Choice, Pretty Too! Sep 19, 2009

We bought the Crocodile Creek lunch box for our daughter to take to kindergarten after poring over the internet trying to find a company that made something safer than... well, everything else out there. With all the press about lead in Chinese-made vinyl lunch boxes, even looking for something safe for a child to carry their lunch in is intimidating.
This seems to be the best option despite being made in China. There's a great deal of documentation on Crocodile Creek's testing standards around the internet. As well, they are carried by a number of reputable toy dealers who make efforts to test their products.
As for the lunch box itself, it's very attractive, spacious, and functional. The colors and print are true to the photo. We also bought the matching stainless steel water bottle with the multiple butterflies and it really makes for a lovely set. My little girl adores it, and is so proud of her first lunch box. I rest easy knowing it's safe. What could be better?

I got this lunch bag for my 18 month old daughter for her nursery school. I think she likes the fact that she can carry it all by herself. It's easy to clean ( inside & out) and it has a cute little pocket out the outside for utensils, napkins or little notes from mummy! The only thing I think it should have is a netting on the inside like it does on the back - that way I could put a little frozen bag in there to keep everything chilled until her lunch time. I also got the matching backpack and will eventually get the cute water bottle. Love this line - great for LITTLE KIDS!!

This was my daughter's first lunch box, and she loves it! It is well made, and I believe it will last quite a while. Easy to wipe out, and she loves the design. Despite all of her toys, this was one of her favorite Christmas presents!

I was impressed with the quality of this product. I typically do not review products, but because I was so taken with this and think it is a better alternative to many more expensive products out there, I thought it was worth reviewing. It is durable, colorful, and practical in its size. My daughter loves it!

I live in a humid environment and although this lunchbox was used daily, dried after use, and stored in the open, it mildewed very quickly and, because the lunchbox is fabric, the mildew never went away. I had to throw this out after just a few months' use.
