great teaching tool Jun 10, 2010

I work with children who are learning English. It's often very hard to get them through the "silent period" when they are comfortable speaking English out loud. These cards made all the difference with these children. They LOVED picking cards and talking about them. I used this for Kindergarters through third grade. I bought all four sets!
(I also bought a set for for my grandson. He loves to tells stories!)

Makes "Creativity" Easy Dec 07, 2011
By J. Armstrong I am not the most creative person in the world (I am an engineer - not know for our creativity). However, my young daughter always wants me to make up stories. These helped us play together to make up wonderful stories. We each pick a card and keep the story going. It can be played with 2 or 20 people. It is very fun for the whole family. Then reshuffle and we tell a brand new story. We have purchased all of the "Tell me a Story" sets. It is fun to mix and match (makes even crazier stories).

tell me a story flashcards Apr 18, 2011
By T. Smith great flashcards! very colorful, interesting pictures. We use these cards as a conversation game for a child w/ autism. It really gets the language going! Lots of fun to hear all the different stories made up for these cards.

Wonderful storytelling fun Oct 11, 2011
By ccmoore74 Eboo's Tell Me A Story - Circus Animal's Adventure story cards are prefect for pre-readers and anyone with imagination. Great set.
Interesting Concept.....not for everyone Jan 09, 2012
By Target Shopper I got this for my 4 year old son, but he has not yet chosen it on his own. He's played it a few times when I pulled it out, but not for very long.
The concept is great, making up story lines around pictures, but the implementation is challenging. The relationship between the cards (same characters, props) someitmes seems obvious - especially for little ones - so it's hard to get them to tell more than one story (e.g. the mouse always takes the cheese). Therefore, if your child is very literal, this game probably isn't for them.
I love the concept of this, but probably wouldnt recommend it. I had hopes it'd be a good airplane game, but no go.
