Challenging and Fun! Nov 15, 2011

My 21-month old son can do this puzzle (with help of course)! He loves puzzles and this one was hard at first but then he got the hang of it. Also, i didnt know many of the animal names so i contacted the company and they sent me this list. Hope this helps!

Grows with your child! Feb 22, 2011

Received this puzzle as a Christmas gift for my one year old - her first reaction to it was fascination with the suitcase-style box it came in. (we LOVE self-contained toys!)
Now that she's 2.5, she enjoys getting it out and (with my help) putting this puzzle together. The animals are mostly recognizable, with some rarities to learn (woah, Quetzal!?!?), and the alphabet is clearly and attractively depicted.
An alphabet-obsessed little friend on the autism spectrum, about 3 and a half years old, LOVED coming over to play with this puzzle and would put it together over and over again happily.
I think she will enjoy this toy for at least another two years! The pieces have survived being stepped upon by her and her friends, with only a few bent ends here and there (a "no-stepping-on-da-puzzle" rule is now in play). It's certainly not indestructible, but does hold up to decent wear and tear.
A smaller child COULD gnaw and chew off puzzle piece nubs, thus the 3 and above age limit with choking warning.
Ahhh... and the box. The box has been sat upon, stood upon, and carried around as a prop for almost 18 months now, but still holds together and looks good. Now that the "baby" is 30 lbs, we don't let her use the box as a step stool anymore, to preserve it's integrity for any future users ;-)
This makes a classy educational gift... a little different from the regular Melissa and Doug fare. (although we do love the Melissa & Doug World Map 33 pcs Floor Puzzle as well - has an interesting framework to it that holds all the oceans and continents, and animals particular to each region)
ABC PUZZLE Nov 10, 2011

This puzzle is definitely one of the best I have ever purchased. I gave it to my 3 year old grand daughter..After a little help from me she mastered the puzzle.. For several months she played with it quite often. She was delighted each time she put the pieces together. The pieces held up quite well, and the colors are beautiful. Now she has "graduated" to puzzles with more pieces. I give this puzzle 5 stars.

We recieved two Crocodile Creek puzzles for our 2 year old last Christmas, (ABC and 123), and she has really enjoyed playing with both of these. The pieces are a great size for her (she is now at age 2.5 getting better at putting them together), and they have held up well to the typical young hands that try to force pieces together when they don't fit. There are some fun and different animals on the ABC puzzle that we typically don't see on alphabet items. Both puzzles are great - wonderful pictures - and she tends to pull them out at least once a week to play with. Another nice bonus is that the boxes are very sturdy - she has even been known to sit on them and they still are in great condition.
We loved those puzzles so much that we requested another Crocodile Creek puzzle from her grandparents a week ago. They purchased the Dance Studio puzzle for her at B&N, but the puzzle pieces didn't fit right. The package had been opened, and we weren't sure if pieces had been mixed up, or the diecut was just not done right. Either way, I contacted Crocodile Creek through their website, and asked what could be done about this - expecting them to tell me to return it to the store. Instead, I got a UPS delivery today with a brand new puzzle. They didn't ask any questions, just sent a replacement. I was really impressed to receive such good customer service and now my daughter will be able to enjoy another great puzzle. I plan to buy more of these as her next birthday rolls around.

I purchased this puzzle for my four year old grandson to reinforce his ABCs - and it has. He enjoys putting it together. It is very well made and durable large pieces.
