 Cute but got moldy Jun 28, 2011

I purchased a Crocodile Creek lunch box because the brand is PVC and phthalate free and has cute designs. This box holds a lot. My daughter used this lunch box 3 times a week for a little less than a year before she noticed mold on it. Every night I would rinse, and scrub when needed the lunch box. Turns out that mold was growing in the zipper compartment without me noticing (we never used the zipper compartment). I was unable to scrub the mold off so in the trash it went. We are back to our BUILTNY lunch bag that is machine washable and lasts forever but unfortunately does not come in kids designs.

My daughter in kindergarten uses this everyday and it has held up better than I expected. We've had it almost a month and it still looks brand new. It's simple to clean (just wipe with off with a sponge or wipe) and not too large or too small. It's wider and longer than it is deep, and I prefer the dimensions on this over the Critter lunchbox we returned from LL Bean (which was more expensive, not as sturdy, and easily dirtied). It fits well inside my daughter's backpack, which is sized for younger elementary students. She also loves looking at the parade of little dancers on the front. The whimsical design is very pretty and sure to appeal to your little ballerina (or tap dancer, or future flamenco queen!)

This lunchbox is fantastic. It is quite spacious inside so it holds everything. The interior originally seemed too large, but knowing how the bag gets tossed around at school I now have the space to put crackers in a small container inside of this bag keeping them from getting crushed. My daughter loves the pattern and it is very easy to clean.

My 8 yr old just loved this lunchbox when she saw it. The zipper is easy to open (unlike the last one that she had to struggle with sometimes). Just enough space to carry a small lunch tray and a drink. The design is really nice as well. Recommended.

Super cute and easy to clean/use lunch box. My 4 year old daughter LOVES it. The colors are vibrant and have lasted through 6 months of daily use. Definately recommend for anyone with a dance lover in their house.
