I've purchased 5 of these Crocodile Creek balls through Amazon, in the 5" and 7" sizes (ladybugs, butterflies, frog & cow designs). I saw some reviews saying they shipped malformed or low on air...perhaps it's just luck of the draw, but every single one of mine (not all ordered at the same time) arrived in good shape and looking new (despite sitting in temps well over 100 degrees). They're not so full of air that you can't dent them a little with your fingers, which is good, because the idea is for little hands to be able to pick them up. I suppose you could inflate them further if you wanted them very rigid.
I love these because they're rubber, not plastic, and because of the wonderful, bright designs that really attract my daughter's attention. My only complaint is that the ladybug ball looked very yellow online, but it's actually the same bright green as the butterfly ball.

These balls are made of safe rubber, so my daughter can play with it without worry. For my 17 month old, the 7" ball seems a bit big, but she manages to throw and kick it just fine. Eventually, it will be perfect. We also have a 5" ball by Crocodile Creek, which my daughter can throw and kick well, too. It seems a better size for her now, but soon, I imagine will be too small. There is a surprisingly big difference in the balls when you see them side by side. I guess I'm asking too much to also have a 6" ball. I recommend these balls because they are safe and come in a variety of designs.
