Great little set. Jan 18, 2009
By Lune Axelsen My 4 year old daughter loves this set and got it as accessory to the fairy stump home. The wood construction is excellent and durable, the details exquisite. My only criticism is that the chairs are a little uncomforatble for the little fairy people that are bought seperately for the set, it is hard for them to sit in them upright without the people tipping over. A little challenging for small hands, but not impossible. But over all a very fine set and my daughter will get many years of play out of them.

FUN, Adorable, well made, but could use some minor improvements. Jul 18, 2010
By Erin Rippy Based on other reviews for this series of toys, I anticipated this set to not come with the fairy dolls, which I purchased separately. The photographs and product descriptions have been misleading in in the past (I purchased 8 months ago), but I believe they have been updated since. I also have the Fairy Forest Lodge, fairy dolls, and all of the other furniture accessory sets, except for the Forest Bridge & River set. My daughter was ready for a doll house that would inspire her imagination and creative play, so everyone in the family pitched in to help Santa bring this all home.
These little furniture pieces are cute and well made, all wood, all well sanded. The details of this set is what makes them so cute. The hand-drawn veins of the leaf chairs, an age spiral ring on the tree stump end table, and the stones on the fireplace hearth. They're pretty durable, too. Our fireplace has been stepped on and the base came off, but was easily reattached with some craft glue. As another reviewer stated, the chairs don't hold the dolls very well. The dolls (sold separately) are fully positionable, but it takes some concentration and a steady hand to sit them up on these little chairs.
My one complaint is that the chairs aren't sealed. I assume that they were colored with some kind of natural non-toxic water-based stain, but no sealer. The paint on the other pieces is a semi-gloss, so needed no sealant. If your child spills any liquid on the chairs, or any of the green stained wooden pices (such as the puzzle base for the house, or green base for table set or hammock), the green stain will bleed. My children haven't put the pieces in their mouthes yet, but one of them leaned over with a sippy cup and when condensation dripped onto the pieces, water spots were left showing the light wood underneath.

Cute as ever. Get some glue. Feb 10, 2011
By Broc Parson Cute set, but we only had this set one day before the leg fell off the sofa. Since then, one of the legs has fall off the chair. I have glued them back on. I have several furniture sets to coordinate they all seem to have the same problem. So far, I have just glued everything back on and it seems to be fine. Other than that, this is an imaginative set and so unique. I would buy it again, but I have been disapointed with the quality of certain items. Also, I have noticed that some of the dye lots are different. Some of the mushrooms are bright red (as depicted in the photos), but most of them are more of a brick red. Anyhow, so fun, but make sure you have some good wood glue.

Adorable set Jan 10, 2009
By Em's mom I bought the whole set, including the fairy tree trunk house and other furniture. My daughter loves this set, and has placed it in the living room as her primary toy.
dolls cannot sit here Feb 29, 2012
By Jenn We bought this furniture set with the Fairy Forest Lodge and Fairies. They are definitely unique and cute items. They are a bit rougher in texture than other brands (my favorite being Plan Toys for nicely sanded pieces). Unfortunately, they are too small and unstable for any of the fairies to sit on without toppling over. The fireplace and lamp still make for nice additions to the lodge, but the furniture too is left as decoration and not play.
