Great source of world trivia knowledge Feb 01, 2008

I was looking for a game that would challenge my wife and I in garnering facts about other countries in the world while catering to our board game playing enjoyment. We are college grads and reasonably intelligent, and wanted to learn more about our world while avoiding the large number of games for ages "10 and over". That can be a challenging task for a game designer in this genre, but there are more than enough children's games out there. However, this game was a good first attempt at satisfying this premise. Okay, about the game itself- There are plenty of facts, and they range from difficult to know to extremely difficult. Which is good. However, the means of obtaining the required advancement opportunities on the board were made relatively easy, and we found that the game ended rather quickly. And we felt inadequately challenged insofar as making the game last very long on the board. So we resorted to just pulling cards and reading each other questions from them, without using the game board at all. That loses it's excitement rather quickly. I believe the model can be improved upon with a little more thought to the interaction with the board, but would still recommend this game for people looking for a challenging source of overall worldly trivia. We look forward to the sequel.

I love this game! Dec 29, 2008

This game is wonderful. It has multiple choice questions, but if you are wanting to make it a little more challenging, you can just leave off the choices when you ask the questions. It says ages 13-113 on the box, but my 9 year old does just fine with it. It is a lot like the game Travel Buff but with a few fun twists thrown in...for example, before you get your free visa for the Americas you must impersonate Elvis. It is fun and educational at the same time.

Educational Geography Game Jan 15, 2008

This game will teach you a lot about geography and world facts, but be forewarned, it just might take a while to finish (unless you know a lot more than I do!). It is well constructed and carefully packaged so all the many cards stay neat and organized.
