The perfect cash register Mar 17, 2010

I bought this toy for my daughter's third Christmas and she loves it. My wife and I are trying to stay away from the "ultra beepy" plastic, electronic toys. Toys should challenge the child's imagination, in my opinion, and this one does. My daughter uses the food from the Haba shopping game and my wife printed out some money from the web and she loves to charge us for the goods. She is learning to count and add because of the game. I am not one of those nutters who makes her count out everything and destroys the fun of the to; she does it on her own. As the previous reviewer stated, it is high quality and seems like it will be a toy that my grandkids could play with. I love this cash register.

It's a great toy. My daughter got this for her 2nd Christmas, she is 5 now & still plays with it. We purchased the HABA wood coins to go with it (It doesn't come with any)
When I bring my kids to my parent's house to play, there's still a few classic, well-made toys left over from when I was a kid. (the ones that were durable enough,lead free, and unable to be destroyed by us)
I think this little cash register will be that kind of toy in our house. It will definitely last & be around for any possible grandchildren. I recommend it to anyone =)

My kid loves this thing. I wasn't sure which one to pick, but i listened to all the reviews. Too bad Haba has decided to discontinue this gem! Its really heavy but my kid lugs it across the room to show it to me every time. He's been doing that since he was 17 months old.
