Wonderful toy--well worth the money May 25, 2006
By dephal We just discovered Kapla at a science museum, and will now be getting some of our own. At the museum, I noticed people of all ages were drawn to these toys. Even young toddlers were making little stacks, my 6-year-old attempted some castles, a gaggle of preteens was challenging each other to build the tallest tower (and then knock it down, of course!), and even the grown-ups were having fun. At first, I just sat and watched, but soon my hands were playing with the blocks, too, and in no time I was building my own creations. My daughter and I could have probably played for hours. It's hard to find a toy that will interest kids of all ages, but Kapla certainly does. And it's a plus for me that they're not plastic and ugly, so I won't mind too much having them stacked around the house.

Kapla Blocks are the Best!! Dec 26, 2006
By Martha E. Krajewski I can't say enough about Kapla blocks. My kids have played with all the usual building toys such as tinker toys, legos, etc. I started out with the 200 piece set. Every block is perfectly balanced so kids can make great structures from a very young age. My kids have had there blocks for probably about 10 years now and we keep adding to the set. They love building with them and have made some really amazing things. These blocks are something that could definitely be passed from one generation to the next. They may look like they are plain and wouldn't be much fun but just wait until your kids start playing with them and see what they can make. Then they will be hooked!!

THE best, longest lasting 'toy' you'll find...... Dec 15, 2005

We learned about these blocks years ago when my now 13 year old was in pre-school. I was amazed at how these seemingly simple pieces of wood, so totally enraptured these little kids!
Kapla, are 'blocks' that are all exactly the same size. At first glance, they seem boring. But once you start playing with them, they are so much more. They can be made into all kinds of structures, and can even be raised higher than one can reach, without falling!!
When our 'surprise blessing' turned 2, I pulled them out for him. He enjoyed them (though at 3 he likes them much more), but what surprised me is that my older two (15 and 13) love playing with them as well!! In fact, we ALL do!!
I know it seems like a lot of money to spend on these, but they are MORE than worth it!!

Creative Building Blocks with ENDLESS Possiblities Dec 27, 2005
By Jennifer Parrish I love the blocks as much as my 4 year old son and my 14 year old nephew. We visited the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC this past year and discovered these blocks. We would spend hours creating items there. My son received a set for Christmas this year (2005) and we can not stop playing with them. I will probably end up purchasing a 1000 box set for our home. These blocks are worth every penny. Children will enjoy YEARS of play and families can enjoy QUALITY TIME together. I even enjoy playing with them for hours.

My daughter's most used toy Dec 03, 2007
By Rebecca E. Lem I got these for my daughter when she was about 4. She's 7 1/2 now, and these blocks have been almost continuously used since we bought them. They are well-made and versatile...and admittedly fun for adults to play with too!
They are "architectures blocks"...I guess meaning they are balanced and weighted well. You can make some very finely balanced and creative structures with these. (As well as elaborate mansions for My Little Ponies!)
Definitely worth the money.
I wish Kapla would come out with some add-on kits though!
