Not quite a five, but nearly this is a nice wooden nativity for kids Apr 17, 2011
By Natalie K. Munn This is a nice wooden nativity for kids. I would give it a five if there were a way to keep the two roof pieces and the roof truss semi-permanently assembled. As it is, young kids under 5 or six can't assemble the roof by themselves and they inadvertently tear the roof off pretty quickly as soon as they start playing with this. Our's spends nearly all its time roofless, with just three sides wide open to the sky. The camel looks like a dinosaur which is pretty freaky. Otherwise it is a cute set and the pieces are just the right size.
Kids can't keep their hands off it and our's has been in constant use since it arrived in the Fall before the xmas holiday. In a few days it will be Easter and I am sure the kids will be playing with it then too.
It would be sort of cool if they had a noah's ark and some animals to go with it. Kids really like organizing the figures.
Warning: There is something about these figures that REALLY appeals to dogs. I suppose if you are a dog they are fun to lick and carry around after they've been handled by sticky little kid hands. The wood is pretty soft compared to say building blocks or fisher price little people, so if your dog picks them up you may see toothmarks afterward!

Great Nativity set Jan 22, 2011

Our kids (2 and 3 years old) really enjoyed playing with this toy. It takes a little practice to get it to fit together but can be taken apart and put together over and over. Great way for them/us to learn and talk about Jesus and the Christmas story. Nice that it collapses down.

Rickety creche Jun 23, 2011
By Mary B. Garrison Maybe our grandson, 2, was too young for this, but it didn't stay together. The figures are cute, though. Maybe it will 'grow' with him.
