This is the nicest present I ever got. Dec 06, 2010
By Azza ... said my daughter (almost 3) when Papa put it together, now I think she will be busy for the next hours ;-) arranging all the beautiful little things. We are extremely charmed by this little house, and not just because we live off-grid in a house with solar panels, wind mill and rain water collection. It's a very good value for the price and (supposedly) eco friendly, too.
pros: - great price for all wood dollhouse - no nasty plastic stuff - very fun open design - modern and "green" - easy to assemble* (see cons) - large enough to be interesting and easy to move about (for the accessories) but not monstrous for our little girl's modest bedroom
cons: - like other made-in-china items my husband has assembled (and he built our house) he was cursing the soft metal screws whose head slots easily stripped with a minimum of tension going into the wood - best to have a few similar screws handy to replace the ones that strip out easily (drywall screws work great) - after being jaded by the sometimes amazing ease and accurate assembly of some IKEA products - the workmanship/accuracy of this woodwork is "OK", some pieces need (a little minor) adjustment to fit properly - but that said, just remind yourself of the price... (:-0)
... i hope we can get the girl to bed tonight...

This is a fantastic alternative to a traditional doll house. Dec 25, 2010

It teaches your child about green living. Perfect for these times when its important to conserve energy and find eco-friendly ways to run a house. It comes complete with all play pieces in the picture. Animals, furniture, car, garden, etc. The boy and girl both can be manipulated to sit and move their arms. The concept is so clever with the rotating top floor and center staircase. And the open floor plan makes it easy to play from all sides and keeps it very flexible for imaginative play. I wish we lived in such a cool "green" house.
It took me almost 1 1/2 hours to put together, which is relatively easy to do and well constructed. My 3 year old kept busy with the play pieces while I assembled it. You just need a screwdriver and some wood glue came in handy.
Overall very pleased with this purchase and the learning aspect of it. I'm sure it will provide years of entertainment for my daughter. And the price is great for all that you get.
