My son has played with it every day since we got it Jun 02, 2010 My son is 2.5 years old and this has truly been his favorite toy from Christmas. It is out on our living room coffee table and it gets several hours of play each day. It is the perfect size for his matchbox cars to drive up and down the ramps, in and out of the "car wash" and elevator. The elevator did break - it used to have this nice gear crank mechanism which would raise and lower the elevator. While it does not make that click, click, click noise any more and occasionally does fall down after Max has raised it - he can still get it to raise and lower cars. If your child is a car junky like my son, they will love playing with this parking garage.
This Playtoys set was infested with wood-boring bugs May 18, 2010 We received this Plantoys set as a gift for our younger son. When we opened it, several of the wooden pieces were infested with wood-boring bugs or beetles of some sort. I seriously considered calling the state forestry office about this, but the bugs appeared to be dead.
I called up the Plantoys USA office. They offered to give me a replacement set, an option I considered unacceptable -- why would I want another bug-infested toy from the same factory? They absolutely refused to issue a refund.
Caveat emptor.
Very nice parking garage Apr 21, 2010 My 3 year old just loves this parking garage. We've had others but they are plastic and not well made. This one is made from wood and is very durable.

Pricey for what you get Apr 02, 2010 The Parking Garage by Plan Toys was a present for our older son from his grandmother and at first it seemed like it would be a hit; however, after the first ten minutes he just lost interest and returned to his Play-Doh sets, his trains, Hot Wheels, and Pixar Cars that he is so fond of. Since then he has pretty ignored it. After finding the same product offered on Amazon I was very surprised at the high price, which I would never have paid myself. The Parking Garage is very plain to see, and comes with a plain blue employee, and an even plainer green car (whose tires come off very easily). At least it feels good to the touch as it is all made out of good quality wood without any dangerous chemicals, which is definitely something, but that's pretty much it.
Great Toy for Your Little Car Lover Mar 10, 2010 We gave this garage to our son for his 3rd birthday and it is a huge hit. The fact that the ramps aren't glued on is a bonus for us, because when we were putting it together with him he didn't want us to attach the ramps! He was already playing with them with his vehicles. Now he carries the ramps around and uses them very creatively, and can easily attach them on the garage when he wants. Oh, and he likes the garage too!
It didn't take too long for us to put it together (maybe 30 focused minutes, at most) but the screws provided aren't very sharp so you either need to use a lot of force (more than I could muster) or use a drill as a power screwdriver, although that's risky. In the end my husband chose the brute force option.
On an only somewhat related matter, I think it's absurd to rate a toy on educational value (as Amazon asked me to do), as we are all learning something from everything we play with or use. I know what they mean, but it's all so subjective. What one person values as "educational" is often not shared.
In fact, I think the most "educational" toys aren't toys at all but silk scarves, boxes of cardboard, sticks, buckets, water, trees, etc. etc. The more structure and rigidity a toy has the less "educational" it is in my mind.
