I'm very surprised to read negative reviews because we have found this to be a beautiful and surprisingly durable skirt. My 3 year old has dragged it through the dirt while playing outside, spilled juice, etc. on it, and even wore it through potty training with a few accidents...none more worse for the wear. It's not machine washable, but I have just hand washed it with warm water. At first it is wrinkled, but once it is worn again or hangs awhile the wrinkles disappear and it's as good as new.
The colors are so pretty and the way the skirt flows and blows in the wind means my daughter chooses it more often than any of her other dress up clothes. I'm actually thinking of buying another in a different color, mainly so when she has a friend over they can both put one on!
My only complaint is that the waist is really big on her, and I bought the toddler size. It might be nice if there was some adjustability to the waist, or maybe they need more than two sizes of this item because I noticed that others complained of the waist on theirs being too small instead. But she will grow into it, and I'm sure it will last.

Beautiful silk, but the waist was so tight that I had to rip out the stitches, insert four inches of additional elastic and resew it. Fits children from 3-8 years old? Really? My five-year-old daughter is of average height and weight, and this skirt was ridiculously small around the waist. Also, the workmanship is not fantastic. Sorry, but I wouldn't buy this again....

I wish I would have read the other review before purchasing this item. The skirt I bought for my daughter has the exact same problem---The waist is super tight. She wears a 5t waist and this is about a 3t size waist. Also the quality is rather poor. The silk is very thin.
