Super Excelent Tea Set - High Quality Jul 16, 2010 The tea set is quite small, which others think that it's a bad idea, but not the kids who play with it. It's almost perfect for their little hands.
Rubber Wood is and has been the best natural raw material for wooden toys. Melisa and Dough's toys are crawling somewhere way back in the quality for wood as well as paint.
If you are looking for QUALITY rather than for quantity, this is the way to go! Your kids will be thanking you!
Note: I didn't give the review until my children had a test drive for over a month with this tea set! PLANT TOYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Adorable wooden tea set Jul 07, 2010 The cups are small but I read the reviews and new that ahead of time.
My daughter (3) LOVES this. It has small parts so is definitely not appropriate for kids who put stuff in their mouths. The tea bags are super cute and since I drink tea my daughter loves having her own tea bags to play with. It's very sturdy and I love that it's not yet another piece of plastic "junk" in my house. The only thing I wish it had was a bag or a case (I could find one and organize it) so we end up missing spoons for a while then unearthing them later. Not a fault of the toy - just our own lack of organization.
The other thing I love is there is no paint so if a child does put it in his or her mouth there is no worry they are eating mystery paint on a toy that could be recalled later.
If you are a fan of wooden toys in general this is a nice addition. If your kids are used to vibrant colors, characters, and plastic they may not like this as much. We have a lot of wooden toys in my house so my daughter was thrilled to get this.
Woden Toy Jun 25, 2010 My grand-niece is 2 and already somewhat a tomboy. She loves it and it seems to be almost indestructible!

sweet little set Dec 11, 2009 my son received this as a gift almost a year ago. he is 3 and my daughter is one and they both play with it on a daily basis. perfect size for their little kitchen and little hands.
the wood has a nice feel to it which i like. like one reviewer, i put the sugar cubes up until my littlest learns not to put everything in her mouth.

Really Disappointed! Nov 12, 2009 I was really hoping to receive a good wooden Tea Set by the picture and description. I'd hope for a tea set made of something other than plastic that would hold up over time. Boy was I disappinted when the set arrived! It's so tiny little hands can hold it, but it's a real danger to those little hands and the children who'd be using it. The pieces are tiny and just too small for children to use. I wouldn't allow my grandchildren to use the tea set pieces at all. My grandchidlren always love to play tea party when they come over. It's something grandma and they play, but I wouldn't use this set with them. The stirring sticks are so small they could be choking hazards if children put them in their mouths. Also, should the "tea bags" come undone from the yarn, you'd have another 3 pieces for the children to possibly swallow if they put them in their mouths. The lid to the tea pot and the sugar bowl are too small also. They fit little fingers, but they can also fit little mouths. You can only say the nicest part of the tea set is it's nicely made of wood. It's a choking hazard at any age for children. It'd cost way more to return it to the Company than I cared to paid so I tossed it in the trash.
