Intriguing wooden blocks Jun 12, 2007

Excellent creative toy, well constructed and imaginative. However, if these blocks were made the same size as standard children's wood blocks, they would foster more expansion. The children played with this toy for a while, then moved on. The 4 year-old was intrigued with the designs but the 2 year-old lost interest very quickly. Normally, the younger one enjoys his wood blocks for longer periods, and I got these to supplement the standard blocks. The slightly larger size of these blocks doesn't allow the stacking with the other blocks, so isn't quite so valuable for expanding the discoveries that the blocks would normally engender. You need at least two sets of twisted blocks to keep the child's attention.
