Cute, but not what I was going for Jun 17, 2009

"from scratch"
I bought these because my daughter has just learned her letters and their sounds, and is starting to put simple words together. The phrases on the cards use letter sounds and combinations that aren't on a beginner level in my opinion, i.e. "th", "gh" as in night, "ea" and other things that aren't the obvious sounds a beginner reader would expect. So, if you're looking for something to encourage a young reader, get something else.
They are, however, beautiful, sturdy and simple in design.
beautiful wall art May 13, 2011
By Mommy in Texas We use painter's tape to stick these flash cards on the wall. They look beautiful as a wall art for our game room. The added benefit is that occasionally my daughters will recite the alphabets.
Sweet nostalgia...and educational too! Mar 24, 2011
By Frazier's Mom I bought these because I was doing my son's nursery in a vintage theme and these fit perfectly. I've used them a few different ways to decorate, but they've also been fun to learn with too! The bold colors and pictures are a great way to introduce letters to little ones. The cards themselves are thick, coated cardstock and the storage box is nice as well. Essentially, they're just big flashcards, but they're super cute and have such a sweet nostalgia about them!
Very cute as wall art Jul 01, 2010
By ethansmom We bought these flash cards to hang in my son's playroom. They are bright and colorful and make the whole wall look great. We put poster tape behind each one and just hung them in 3 lines. It looks very cute and we get tons of compliments. If you had a chair rail or border, you could also line them up along a room. Overall we are very happy with them.
