Does not really help kids learn rhyming Nov 15, 2010
By Wendy Blaszak I was looking for a game to help my 4 year old daughters learn how to rhyme. This game is far too easy because all you have to do is match colors and not think at all about rhyming. I do not recommend this game at all. The maker should have thought to at least pick one or two colors for the puzzle pieces to avoid kids just relying on color to make matches rather than actually learning about rhyming.

good for kids who are beginning to rhyme Dec 09, 2010
By Aaron Sojourner Sturdy, attractive cards. The color matching provides scaffolding for little ones just beginning to grasp the concept of rhyming. My 3-year-old began to use this when she was 2. I selected a subset of these cards for us to match together. This was a gentle way to introduce rhyming, matching and the simplest of puzzles. My 5-year-old sometimes brings this out by herself to revisit it and enjoy the illustrations.
Great Puzzle Game, Quantity Small for the Money!! Aug 10, 2011
By PAULAANDCHUCK Only gave 4 star's because of the quantity of the puzzle pieces!! We have the Alphabet and Number Pair Puzzle and the quantity of the pieces I felt was fair for the price, but not for this "Ryhyming Game". It has beautifully illustrated puzzle pieces, very durable and fun to play, but just to limited!! I would recommend, if there where more puzzle pieces, for the children to continue to learn.
Fun Educational Game Feb 20, 2011
By UrbanYogini I purchased this as a gentle introduction to rhyming for my four year old daughter. She LOVE this game and I find the soothing pictures and sturdy material refreshing for a child's game. The color matching serves to help narrow down possibilities or to double check herself.... which I think are good for her. I think this game is best for kindergarten age children and younger, if you have very young children maybe just take out half the rhyming pairs and build up to using the full set as the child matures.
Great for emerging readers Jan 10, 2011
By Loving motherhood! I bought this for my kids to give as a Christmas gift, but couldn't resist giving it early. It was, and still is, a great hit! The kids are emerging readers learning their letters and letter sounds. My oldest is learning how to sound out simple cvc's -- consonant, vowel, consonent words. Rhyming is a natural part of learning how to read. This puzzle is a perfect way to have fun, while learning. The puzzle pieces are thick cardboard, hence durable. They are bright and engaging pictures to capture their attention. There are plenty of pairs, so both children can work on it, together. Five stars all around!
